North Eastern Railway early loco buffer. 1'6'' 12'' head. Many early NER locos had this buffer, some also having a wooden packer behind to increase the length for screw couplings, a suitable washer is supplied to represent the packer.
Our buffers are all cast from a high quality white metal which contains a small percentage of lead to improve the strength and give a smooth surface to the finished item.
